Unlocking opportunity with WEConnect International
We are proud to be partnering with WEConnect International since 2018. Our partnership helps address challenges and create opportunities for underestimated communities across emerging markets. Our joint “Financing Your Growing Business Bootcamp” has proven to be a game-changer for women entrepreneurs, empowering them to overcome financial barriers and driving economic growth.
Our first in-person bootcamp since the pandemic recently took place at our office in Costa Rica, focusing on business sustainability. It gave twenty female business owners the opportunity to delve deeper into topics such as financial decision-making, business strategy and how to pitch a sustainable message. This event also enabled them to network and create new connections.
This year, WEConnect also ran a series of virtual bootcamps across Moody’s emerging markets, hosting webinars on a wide range of topics such as credit, financial and capital planning, pitching and enterprise valuation. With the help of our volunteers, we were able use our resources and expertise to empower local businesswomen to take their businesses to the next level.

Our employees play an instrumental role facilitating our workshops, equipping women business owners with the knowledge and expertise needed to scale their businesses. Corporate Sustainability team members Daniella Kopper and Josseline Leiva worked closely with the WEConnect team to develop workshop content and educational materials focusing on tangible techniques to implement ESG into their businesses.
