Meet the Partner Podcast Series: Episode 3 – Supporting women-owned businesses in the Asia Pacific region

Moody’s “Meet the Partner” podcast series interviews representatives from our nonprofit partners to explore the current state of social investing and community engagement, as well as the impact of our joint programs on the communities we serve.

In the third episode of our “Meet the Partner” podcast series, Wendy Cheong, MD Regional Head for Moody’s Investors Service for APAC, is joined by Moutushi Sengupta, Chief of Capital Mobilization at Asia Venture Philanthropy Network, Asia’s leading social investors network which moves capital towards impact across the continent.  Throughout their conversation, taking place on the UN’s Small-, Micro and Medium Enterprises Day, Wendy and Moutushi discuss our shared support of women-owned businesses in the region through our ‘Stimulating Entrepreneurship & Business Growth in Asia Pacific’ program. The episode also features testimonials from program participants and touches on the practical steps women entrepreneurs can take to create a healthy work-life balance.

About our Partnership

At Moody’s, we connect small business owners with the knowledge, skills, and tools required to achieve greater prosperity. Through our nonprofit partnerships and community engagement programs, we are prioritizing our employees’ values and making our comprehensive support model come to life by providing access to our pro bono products and research, expert volunteers, and Board service.

Moody’s and AVPN’s ‘Stimulating Entrepreneurship & Business Growth in Asia Pacific’ program supports around 100 women business owners annually through topic specific masterclasses, investment workshops, pitch mentoring, networking and peer learning. This training helps these women-led enterprises to have better access to credit, markets, capital and networks to scale their businesses.
