Employee engagement

Back Together: Reimagining Moody’s TeamUp® Campaign

The pandemic brought many challenges to the workplace and society, but it also gave us the opportunity to re-evaluate the needs of employees and communities. At Moody’s, we are adjusting our volunteer and community programs to align with the new world of work and where we can make the biggest impact.

In June, we kicked off Moody’s TeamUp®, an annual company-wide volunteering campaign that unites employees in local offices and different business groups to take part in charity projects. After two years of virtual-only events, we were thrilled to introduce a hybrid model of in-person and virtual activities, which were determined based on employee preferences, community needs, and local safety regulations. Our people participated in 231 volunteer events across 40 countries and completed a total of over 2,653 volunteer hours. In-person activities included efforts to protect the environment, such as promoting recycling efforts in Singapore and planting tree saplings at a park in India, and virtual events in the U.S. included supporting HBCU students by providing career prep services and caring for homebound senior citizens by distributing birthday giftbags and cards, among many other activities.

We are committed to fostering a culture of purpose, pride and belonging, and our CSR programs are an important component of Moody’s sustainability efforts to support better lives. Watch the video and read our employee testimonials for insight into our TeamUp® projects.

Testimonials

Singapore / India
“Moody's TeamUp® is a very good platform for all of us to go out and come together with our colleagues and give back to the society at the same time. For some, it was a kick start to the journey of volunteering, for others it was the passion for volunteering at each activity. As a Team Leader, I enjoyed the journey a lot and we did so much together. Happy and satisfied to see the impact.”

“I was excited to join my colleagues in one of the 166 global projects happening during Moody's TeamUp®! 21 of us from the Edinburgh office supported The Turing Trust through a Moody's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The team's contribution means that the charity will be able to install more than 250 computers in schools in Malawi to support the education of 1000s of students.”
